Description: Improvising Consciousness (IMPCON) is a multiyear project implemented as a series of events/media works that explore cognition as historically contingent and introduce the character Jennifer Årnstay, Professor of Material and Analogical Eco-Cognition. Årnstay’s mission is to bring her theories about the evolution of the human mind and its future to peoples of the 21st century via her lecture and accompanying cognitive excercises. Årnstay is performed by Josephine Anstey.
